What actually happens to HUD?

I was wondering, does he get half-eaten, or does he just get thrashed around? When the camera is spinning momentarily the camera turns red and you hear weird munching sounds, but then HUD's body lands on the grass. So what actually happens? I was wondering for a while.

U hear crunching sound and if u look closely u can see the monsters teeth hack HUD in half. and his upper body only falls out. while the rest is eaten

I dont know that he was chopped in half... as someone said in another thread, if he were chopped in half I dont htink that rob would run back over to him telling him to get up (or something along those lines)

He does go check on him...see if he's OK. There's not enough blood for anything but a crush...besides, HUD goes in head first...if half had been swallowed, it wouldn't have been the back half.

Yeah, I'm under the impression that he came out whole. I don't think Rob would have gone back to check him if he was clearly chopped in half.

I think he was chewed and spat out. Why eat bloody disgusting humans when you can have juicy white fish meat? The latter is probly it's natural food, and it would readily eat humans as we would readily munch on a roach.

Kind of like when a dog grabs a toy and shakes it. HUD just got mangled. The monster was not in the city looking for food. It was pissed off.

or it was just really confused... it was woken up, ended up in NY and didnt know what was going on...
