Snakes On A Plane (Theater)

Of course we all know about the hype that was surrounding this movie. The internet ran away with it creating fan sites out the ass, but would this really help the box office and/or movie itself become a cult hit? Well to answer the first question, NO. The movie only did a meager $15 million its opening weekend, just barely beating out Talladega nights (which would have been #1 if Snakes didn't count thursday night shows). But just because the internet hype didnt lead to huge numbers doesnt mean its a bad movie right? You bet your fucking ass your right! This movie was awesome.

So the movie starts out with a kid (i think it was cheddar bob from 8 mile, but im not sure) witnessing some terrible asian mobster murdering some lawyer in the woods in hawaii. He gets away, but they immediately track him down and want to kill him, but fear not, for samuel mother-fuckin jackson is there to save the day. They get the kid to safety and need him to testify in LA so they arrange a flight. But of course the hawaiian cops are corrupt, so they have to make it look like they are going on a private jet when in fact they are just going on a normal flight. But of course someone figures it out and loads a bunch of snakes onto the plane. And that is basically the rest of the plot, lots of snakes!!

And yes the movie was great. Not in the sense that it should win any awards or anything. But out of pure entertainment, the movie was perfect. I dont think I've sat through a movie that kept a smile on my face the whole time, for years. My girlfriend even liked it and she normally falls asleep during movies. Lots of snakes, lots of cool deaths, hysterical dialogue, its a perfect mix of everything. The best part is that the movie doesnt take itself seriously. Yeah, its a serious story and kinda meant to be, but it knows when the jokes and crazy dialogue fit in.

If your looking for a funny, action packed, thriller, hahaha, actually if your just looking for a movie that will make you smile and laugh at how ridiculous it is, check out Snakes on a Mother fucking plane!! you wont be disappointed, I promise.
