Clerks II (Theater)

So we caught the midnight showing of this flick last night at streets of woodfield so I figured I'd give you people a heads up before you made your plans for tonight.

First of all, before reading any further, there may be a few spoilers, ill try my best to not ruin anything but if your really anal about this kinda shit, dont read.

Second of all, if your a fan of any of Kevin Smith's other movies, go see this fucking movie!

Clerks II follows Dante and Randal as they leave the quickstop in flames and move on to bigger and better things.... Moobys (fast food franchise in the view askew universe, it made an appearance in Dogma and Jay/Silent Bob). They have been working at Moobys for about a year and its Dante's last day at work before he moves down to Florida with his Fiance to start "the rest of his life". So as with the other view askew movies, it is basically all about the dialogue between the characters, and yes its fucking hysterical. Smith definitely brought back a lot of the vulgar conversations that he dropped on the world in the original Clerks. There are a few parts that Im surprised the ratings board let him get away with. But the only part that sucked about those parts was i couldn't hear all of the dialogue cause all these bitches in the theater were laughing too hard! But believe me, theres one part in particular that had me asking myself how the fuck he got away with putting it in the movie, but it adds to more hilarity later in the film. Now unlike the original Clerks, there is more of a story built into this one. Yes a story as in it actually has a plot and isn't just 2 dudes chillin around a fast food place talking about how much the average jizz mopper makes or how many dicks their current girlfriend has sucked, or what its like when a dead guy rapes your soon to be girlfriend who used to be your ex.... yeah. If you haven't seen the original Clerks, sorry, I should have warned you there might be spoilers about that too. But if you haven't seen it, go fucking buy it! Ok back to part 2. The story itself gets a little cliche at times and pretty much right from the beginning you know where its going. But is this a problem? Absolutely not! I went into the movie expecting a good comedy and thats what I got, the underlying story was just added fluff in the background. So enough of my ramblings, if you enjoy Kevin Smith's movies, or just raunchy comedies in general, I would definitely recommend this movie.
