Fido

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457572/

If you haven't heard of Fido, its a smaller movie makings its rounds in the festival circuit, it will be out in the US on june 15th. It is set in the 1950's right after the big zombie wars where humans faced off agains, well... zombies. A scientist came up with a way to rid the zombies of their thirst for blood and brains by using a sort of necklace and thus Zomcom was founded. What is the purpose of these zombies you ask... well to be slaves of course. Every person in town seems to have their own zombie doing their house work and crap. And of course a zombie goes bad and bites someone turning them into a zombie and then things begin to get interesting.

Personally the movie was ok. I had been reading alot about it and was actually pretty excited to get a chance to see it, but it kinda fell short. It had it's funny moments and it had its share of blood, but the story just felt kinda lame to me. I thought the idea of zombies as slaves was pretty clever, but the movie became a little boring after a while. If you like zombie movies you may or may not like it. I probably wouldn't recommend seeing it in the theater if you have to pay for it... but its not the worst movie i've seen. Very different zombie movie.
